Vestibular Rehabilitation Across the Continuum of Care: A Foundational Course

ABOUT THE EVENT:
This continuing education course is for physical therapists who want to develop skills in assessment and treatment of persons with vestibular disorders across all practice settings and phases of vestibular rehabilitation. Participants will gain strong foundational knowledge and skills over 5 total sessions including weekly, synchronous lectures (held virtually) and 1 full-day interactive skills lab (held in-person), concluding with a final synchronous lecture (held virtually) with case-based applications.
* Participants must attend all four webinars and choose one in-person lab date.
Level: This course is appropriate for Physical Therapists with a variety of experience in vestibular rehabilitation including beginners and those with some experience looking to review and build upon prior knowledge.
Audience: This course is appropriate for licensed Physical Therapists and Student Physical Therapists. This course is not appropriate for Physical Therapist Assistants.
Course Instructor:
Jennifer Stoskus, PT, DPT, NCS is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy with over a decade of experience working in outpatient physical therapy practice. She owns a private practice in Hoboken, NJ that focuses on the management of adults with vestibular, concussion, and balance disorders and has concentrated the last half of her career on professional education and clinical affairs in the rehabilitation technology industry. Her areas of industry expertise include assessment and management of postural control, force plate technology, virtual reality, and wearable sensors for motor control and movement analysis. Dr. Stoskus is an active member of the APTA, working on the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy’s Vestibular EDGE outcome measure task force and Balance and Fall CPG appraisal group; she co-chairs the APTANJ’s Vestibular Special Interest Group. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Health Sciences from Seton Hall University in NJ, where she has also taught as an adjunct faculty member in the DPT department.
