We are excited to announce Dr. Noah Chinitz of WestMed will be presenting to the staff of Professional Physical Therapy.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. The participant will be able to demonstrate an increased understanding of ankle fractures, what constitutes a urgent vs emergent situation, and how to reduce an ankle in the field.
2. The participant should be able to identify and recognize an ankle fracture dislocation, an urgent ankle situation, a postop issue after ankle fracture surgical fixation.
3. The participant should be able to describe ankle fractures, classifications, perioperative and postoperative management.
4. Identify the pros & cons of Surgically addressing an operative ankle fracture.

SPEAKER BIO:

Dr. Noah Chinitz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with sub-specialty in the foot and ankle. He is expert in operative and nonoperative management alike. He treats sports related injuries, trauma, deformity and arthritic conditions.

Dr. Chinitz received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and he completed general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at North Shore-LIJ. He trained in foot and ankle, hip, knee and shoulder, pediatrics, trauma, sports medicine, wrist and hand. He subsequently completed a fellowship year in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery at Baylor University, Dallas.

Dr. Chinitz is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
